Actions

Rupatadine is an anti allergenic and acts to reduce allergic symptoms like urticaria, rhinorrhea, sneezing and itching

Dosage/Dosage form

10 mg once daily per oral.

Therapeutic uses

  • For the symptomatic relief of nasal and non-nasal symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis and perennial allergic rhinitis.
  • Also used for the symptomatic relief of chronic spontaneous urticaria.

Adverse effects/Side effects

Headache, somnolence, fatigue/asthenia

Interaction

Increased CNS depressant effects when used with CNS depressants or alcohol.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity. Avoid alcohol
