HealthCare Global Enterprises Ltd. (HCG) announced the launch of comprehensive cancer care services at the HCG Regency Oncology Centre in Kanpur. The new centre is being operated by HCG Regency Oncology Healthcare Private Limited, a joint venture between HCG and Regency Hospitals Ltd., the largest private hospital group in Uttar Pradesh.
HCG Regency Oncology Centre is the first comprehensive cancer centre in the city of Kanpur, the largest city in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The new centre is equipped with 90 beds in a new hospital building and features advanced radiation therapy, a multi-disciplinary team of oncologists including sub-specialists, as well as the first PET-CT and bone marrow transplant unit in the city.
The centre serves an estimated 4.5 million people in Kanpur district as well as surrounding regions of Southern Uttar Pradesh and northern Madhya Pradesh. Given the strong demand the hospital decided to commence outpatient services in January 2017. Now with the opening of inpatient and surgical services, the centre offers comprehensive cancer care services.
