Sanofi India\'s net jumps up by over 40% to Rs. 116 cr in Q3

Sanofi India, a Rs. 2,250 crore plus multinational company in India, has posted strong growth in profit during the third quarter ended September 2017 and its net profit went up by 40.3 per cent to Rs. 116.3 crore from Rs. 82.9 crore in the corresponding period of last year. Its net sales increased by 5 per cent to Rs. 626.6 crore from Rs. 596.8 crore. EPS went up to Rs. 50.57 from Rs. 36.04 in the last period.

Description

The company has paid interim equity dividend of Rs. 18 per equity share of Rs. 10 for the year ending December 31, 2017 during August 2017. Sanofi scrip went up by 7 per cent to Rs. 4491 today on BSE. The scrip touched to its yearly highest level at Rs. 4930 on March 29, 2017 and lowest at Rs. 3901 on September 6, 2017. 

For the first nine months ended September 2017, Sanofi's net sales remained almost stagnant at Rs. 1,695
crore as against Rs. 1,693 crore in the similar period of last year. Its net profit declined marginally by 0.7 per cent to Rs. 250 crore from Rs. 252 crore. EPS worked out to Rs. 108.70 as against Rs. 109.43 in the same period of last year.
