It also highlights excellence in patients’ safety and performance. It validates the company’s quality-focused approach to product manufacturing in Germany, which ensures product integrity at with a focus on a patient-centric approach to treat cardiovascular diseases(CVDs).
The Rs.150 crore Bengaluru-based company set up in 1998 designs, develops, manufactures and markets endovascular devices that aid less invasive therapy. It offers its products for the treatment of arterial diseases, which include coronary artery and peripheral vascular diseases. It is the only Indian company with an extensive patent portfolio exceeding 35 US/EU technology patents covering design and manufacturing of various peripheral vascular products. All certifications are granted by BSI (British Standards Certifications).
Over 500,000 coronary stents and 25,000 congenital heart defect devices have been implanted by the company till date. The cardiac stents have undergone continuous evolution from the basic bare metal stents (BMS) to the advanced drug eluting stents (DES). Further, it pioneered the extra-long stents now used in the drug eluting category. Its upcoming aortic valve or transcatheter aortic valve implant product is another revolutionary solution in the field of angioplasty, which is undergoing clinical studies, said F&S.
The company’s Heart Insure Programme is a patient-welfare campaign that offers patients post-procedure health guidance and lifestyle management tips provided through regular follow up phone calls by a dedicated team. It conducts periodic patient awareness camps where the treated patients undergo basic cardiac investigations and consultations from their cardiologists.
