I. PURPOSE:
To provide a procedure to operate and maintain the CE make Hygro -Thermometer.
II. SCOPE:
This procedure is applicable for the CE make Hygro Thermometers being used for the monitoring of environment in the Quality Control department
III. RESPONSIBILITY:
It is the responsibility of all the personnel involved in the analysis using of the equipment.
IV. DOCUMENT REFERENCE:

Forms : Temperature and relative humidity monitoring record.
V. OPERATION:
PRELIMINARY CHECK:
1.1 Check whether the instrument is in 0C mode for temperature or not if not go to 0C mode by pressing the 0C/0F switch.
2.0 BASIC OPERATION:
2.1.1. Press the Max/Min switch to note down the Maximum temperature and Relative Humidity.
2.1.2. Press the Max/Min switch again to note down the Minimum temperature and Relative Humidity.
2.1.3. Press the Max/Min switch again to return to normal mode, which displays the current temperature and Relative humidity.
2.1.4. Never switch off the instrument.
2.1.5. Note down the temperature and relative humidity daily on working days and the readings should be entered in the concerned record.
VI. CALIBRATION:
Calibration frequency: Once in six months by external agency.
01. Thermo –Hygrometer should be calibrated by external agency for temperature and Relative humidity parameters by external agency.
