Procedure of Cleaning of Non Production Areas

 PURPOSE

 To lay down the procedure for cleaning of Non - Processing areas

Cleaning Articles

For sweeping – Hard brooms, Soft brooms, Plastic brooms and Dustpans.

For moping – Wet mops, Buckets and Mugs.

For glass cleaning – Duster/cloth and spray bottle.

For cobweb removing – cobweb brush with long handle, brooms.

For walls and ceiling – Sponges, Nylon brush or Duster.

For Dustbins – Duster, Nylon scrubber.

For Wall and Floor tiles – Scrubbing brushes squeezes.

Procedure

Daily Cleaning

All walls and floors of dining halls shall be cleaned with liquid soap solution twice in a day.

All glass panels and windows shall be cleaned with the glass cleaning solution.

Toilets shall be cleaned thoroughly by scrubbing the tiles and floors with liquid soap solutions. Wash and sanitize the washbasin, commodes, and urinals twice a day.

Floor mopping with the soap solution shall be done twice a day.

The floor of all the areas shall be swept with soft brooms, dry mops. Collect the dust from the dustbins into polythene bags tie it and transfer to scrap yard.

Roads and garden areas shall be swept with hard brooms and soft brooms as required.

Daily cleaning shall be done for all the above mentioned areas.

Weekly Cleaning

Pruning of the garden plants shall be done.

Toilets and Dining halls shall be scrubbed, washed and disinfected.

Ceiling cleaning - Areas ceiling shall be cleaned with long brushes.

Floor Scrubbing – All areas floor to be scrubbed with scrubbing brushes and liquid soap solution.

Exterior walls of the blocks shall be repainted every year.

Details of cleaning operations shall be recorded in the Non – Processing areas cleaning record as per format xxxxx

Garden areas, liquid soap solution, glass cleaning solution, scrubbing
