Mumbai :One of the premier institutes in Pune, Sinhgad College of Pharmacy catering to pharmacy education for undergraduate, post-graduate and PhD students in Pharmacy signed an MoU with University of Auvergne, Clermont-Ferrand, France in various areas recently. The objectives of the MoU are to develop a collaborative working relationship between both the institutes.

Description
This will involve exchange of students and researchers and faculty for the purpose of advanced education, pharmaceutical research and outreach. Information exchange, joint seminars, bio-pharmaceutical and pharmaceutical technology research and development including IVIVC and development of a collaborative working group are also some of the initiatives of this MoU.
Joint research programmes, joint exchange programme, advanced education partnership and joint symposia are the main focus of this programme. This MoU was initiated and executed by Dr. Amelia M. Avachat, Professor, Department of Pharmaceutics and ably supported and guided by the principal Dr. K.N. Gujar under the leadership of Prof. M.N. Navale, founder President Sinhgad Technical Education Society, Pune.
Under this program four students from the Diplome in Pharmacy (6 year course in France) have already completed their 3 months internship from 1st October to 31st December 2015 under the guidance of professors in the Pharmaceutics department.
A joint paper between both the institutes on IVIVC has also been published in the Journal “Dissolution Technologies” in the November 2016 issue. Continuing with the student exchange program, five students of the Third Year B.Pharm. would be doing their project in France from 1st June 2017 to 31st July 2017.
