The pressure is always dynamically changing and the control of that change is the duty of the diaphragm. Diaphragms are sealing & moveable dividing membranes between two components with compressed air and the liquid of the pump. Diaphragm life will vary depending on the abrasiveness of your process fluid, temperature, and size of diaphragm, pumping media, and lift conditions. Diaphragms are available in a variety of materials, in both standard and custom sizes and shape.
