1.0 PURPOSE:
To describe a standard operating procedure (SOP) for cleaning of dedicated hose pipes.
2.0 SCOPE:
The SOP describes in detail the method for cleaning of dedicated hose pipes.
3.0 RESPONSIBILITY:
The responsibility of cleaning of dedicated hose pipes as per the SOP lies with the staff of the rank not lower than operator of production department.
The responsibility of preparing, reviewing and approving the SOP lies with the Executive / Officer (Production), Head of Production and Head of QAD respectively.
4.0 METHOD:
4.1 Clean the hose pipe with 2 L. of soluble solvent of the product and send for recovery.
4. 2 Clean the hose pipe with soft water. Use DM water for finished product.
4. 3 Clean the hose pipe with 2 L. methanol and send for recovery.
4. 4 Dry the hose pipe by applying vacuum.
4.5 Hose pipe ends will be covered with polythene cover and keep the pipe in polythene cover with proper label.
4.6 Frequency: The hose pipe shall be cleaned after every batch.
4.7 The hose shall be replaced whenever found damaged or after completion of 15 batches whichever is earlier.
5.0 RECORDING:
The responsibility of recording the cleaning in the log book lies with the supervisor.
