Description

1.0 PURPOSE:

To  describe a standard operating procedure for break  down  rectification of sampling booth.

2.0    SCOPE:

The  SOP describes in detail the method of break down  rectification of sampling booth.

3.0    RESPONSIBILITY:

The responsibility of break down rectification of  sampling  booth  lies  with the staff of rank not  lower  than  Maintenance Engineer.

The  responsibility of preparing, reviewing  and  approving  the  standard operating procedure lies with the  Manager  -  Maintenance, Head of Production and Head of QAD respectively.

4.0    METHOD:

4.1      Possible problems and rectification:

4.1.1         Low down flow air velocity:

4.1.1.1        Chocking of prefilters:

4.1.1 1.1      Remove prefilter grills.

4.1.1.1.2      Remove prefilters.

4.1.1.1.3      Check  integrity of media.   If found damaged, replace  the  prefilter.

4.1.1.1.4      Check dust contamination.   If found dusty, wash with water  and soap solution and blow compressed air to dry.

4.1.2             Leakage of air through covers.

4.1.2.1           Tighten  the bolts/nuts for covers if necessary  replace  the gasket.

4.1.3             Low front opening velocity.

4.1.3.1           Damper opening is improper.

4.1.3.2           Adjust the exhaust damper to increase the velocity.

4.1.4             Exhaust  HEPA filters choked.

4.1.4.1           Remove access cover for HEPA filter.

4.1.4.2           Observe the seat of the HEPA filter.

4.1.5.3           Faulty switch.

4.1.5.3.1         Replace with similar standard switch.

4.1.5.4           Faulty starter / choke.

4.1.5.4.1         Replace with similar standard starter/choke.

4.1.6             Manometer not showing zero when cabinet is OFF.

4.1.6.1           Scale disturbed.

4.1.6.1.1         Adjust the scale when unit is not working. If zero is out   of scale adjustment, add manometer liquid to adjust zero.

4.1.7             Excessive noise and vibrations.

4.1.7.1           Blower assembly hardware loosened.

4.1.7.1.1         Tighten the hard ware.
