1.0    PURPOSE:

1.1    To lay down the procedure for destruction of post analysis and past expiry date retention samples.

2.0   SCOPE:

 2.1    This SOP is applicable for destruction of post analysis and past expiry date retention samples in Quality control department.

3.0   RESPONSIBILITY:

5.0    PROCEDURE:

5.1    Solid samples after Analysis / Retention Samples (Control samples) after storage period as per SOP NO: XXXXX shall be kept in designated place.
 5.2    Solid samples shall be dissolved in Purified Water or suitable solvent and then drained to ETP.
5.3    Acid and Alkali samples shall be slowly mixed with plenty of Water and then drained after completion of analysis.
5.4    Liquid samples shall be diluted with Purified Water or suitable solvent and then drained after completion of analysis.
5.5    Packing Material samples shall be cut into small pieces and sent to scrap yard in a polythene bag.
