I. PURPOSE :
To provide a procedure for the Operation of Remi make 2MLH magnetic stirrer .
II. SCOPE :
This procedure is applicable for the hotplate being used for the analytical purposes in the Quality Control department.
III. RESPONSIBILITY :
It is the responsibility of all the personnel involved in the analysis using of the equipment.

V. OPERATION :
1.0 PRELIMINARY CHECK :
1.1 Check that the instrument and surroundings are clean, if not, clean with a soft cloth duster.
2.0 BASIC OPERATION :
2.1. Switch on the Magnetic Stirrer by the mains switch.
2.2. Left rotatory switch is for heating control it is indicated by ‘HEAT’ label.
2.3. Right rotatory switch is for magnetic stirring control heating control it is indicated by
2.4 Before using the magnetic stirrer ensure the temperature and rotation at zero level to
avoid sudden spillages and bumping of the liquids
2.6 Monitor cautiously while operation for the chances of bumping of the liquids.
2.7 Switch of the equipment after usage and after coming to room temperature.
2.8 Use sufficient size of the glass ware to avoid spillages.
