1. APPARATUS
1.1 Calibrated Analytical Balance. : 1 No.
1.2 Volumetric flask (100 ml capacity) : 1 No.
1.3 Beaker (250 ml capacity) : 1 No.
1.4 Glass funnel : 1 No.
1.5 Glass rod : 1 No.
2. REAGENTS
2.1 Barium Chloride : LR grade
2.2 Distilled water : LR grade
3. PREPARATION
3.1 Pour about 75 ml of Distilled water into a 250 ml capacity beaker.
3.2 Weigh 10.0 grams of Barium Chloride LR and transfer slowly, into above said beaker, through it‘s side walls, while gentle mixing, by using a glass rod.
3.3 Transfer prepared solution into a 100 ml volumetric flask, by using a glass funnel.
3.4 Rinse the beaker and funnel with few ml of Distilled water, and allow to add into the contents of volumetric flask.
3.5 Make up the volumetric flask to mark with Distilled water, remove the funnel, keep the lid to close the volumetric flask and shake gently to mix the solution.
3.6 Transfer the prepared solution into a suitable container and label with all necessary details.
3.7 The resultant solution is having the concentration of 10.0% w/v.
