STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE FOR RECEIVING AND USAGE OF PURIFIED WATER IN BLOCKS

Description

1.0    PURPOSE :

    To describe the  standard operating procedure for receiving  and  usage of Purified water in Blocks. 
    
2.0    SCOPE:

    The  standard  operating procedure describes  in  detail   the  method   for  receiving and usage of  Purified  water  in Blocks.
    
3.0    RESPONSIBILITY:

    The responsibility for giving a requisition to maintenance department for Purified water lies with the staff of rank not lower than operator of production department.   

The responsibility of preparation, review and approval of the standard operating procedure lies with the Dy.Manager (Production), Head of Production and Head of QAD respectively.

4.0    METHOD:

4.1    Send requisition to maintenance department as shown in Annexure-I for required quantity of Purified water.

4.2    Operating person of the maintenance department shall ensure purified water availability and hand over the duplicate copy by incorporating the batch number. Also ensure the circulation of purified water in loop.

4.3    Ensure that purified water should be analysed. 
    
4.4    Open valves SP7 to SP21 and utilized for production use as follows

4.5    After required quantity of purified water drawn from user points close the corresponding usage valve.
    
4.6    Flow diagram of purified water distribution loop shown in Annexure-II.
    
4.7    Frequency: 

Requisition shall be given for Purified water as per the requirement of production usage.    
    
5.0    RECORDING:        

Recordings are made by a person of rank not lower than operator of production department in as shown in Annexure-I.
