Description

1.0    PURPOSE:

To  describe  a  standard operating procedure (SOP) for the  recovery and purification of solvents and solids.

2.0    SCOPE:

The SOP describes in detail the method of the recovery and purification of solvents and solids.

3.0    RESPONSIBILITY:

The responsibility  of the recovering and purifying of solvents and  solids as  per  the standard operating procedure  lies  with  the staff  of the rank not lower than operator of production department.

The responsibility of preparing, reviewing and approving the SOP lies with the Officer (Production), Head of Production and Head of QAD  respectively.

4.0    METHOD:

4.1    Supervisors  in the production department collect  the   mother  liquor into the containers/Tanks.

4.2    The   solvents  and  solids  are  recovered  from  the   mother  liquor/recovered  solvents through the process as given in  the  batch manufacturing sheet.

4.3    After the recovery the production supervisor sends "request cum  test report" to QCD for the analysis.

4.4    Manager/Deputy  manager (QAD) sends the request cum  analytical  report alongwith the appropriate labels through QC chemist  for  pasting on the drums.

5.0    RECORDING:
