Description

I.    PURPOSE :

To provide a procedure to operate and maintain the Laboratory Temperature /Relative humidity monitoring  System (Temp/RH Data monitor I.R.A ) furnace.

II.    SCOPE:
The procedure is applicable to I.R.A make Temp/RH Data monitor being used for monitoring of Temperature and Relative Humidity in the Quality Control laboratory

III.    RESPONSIBILITY:
It is the responsibility of the Quality Control personnel to get the sensors  calibration done by a qualified external agency as per the schedule provided in this Standard Operating Procedure.

 IV.    DOCUMENT REFERENCE:
SOPs    :    Core procedure, Calibration of Equipment
Forms    :    Temperature and relative humidity monitoring form.

 V.    OPERATION:
1.0      PRELIMINARY CHECK:

1.1        Check that the data is being transferred from the sensors to the data logger or not this
is  checked by display of all the channels data in the screen of Data logger.

 2.0     BASIC OPERATION:

2.1        Switch on the equipment continuously by connecting it to U.P.S.

2.2    The data is collected in 10 channels from different parts of quality control laboratory
              described as below

2.3    Take print out of data for every 2 hours on continuous basis.
2.4    Monitor the data daily once.
2.5    Any excursions beyond 200C to 300C and Relative humidity 30% to 70% R.H Should be noted and should be informed to maintenance department for corrective action .
2.6         The above excursions should be rectified with in more than 24 hours.

VI.   CALIBRATION:
Calibration Frequency: Once in six months by external agency.
1)    The calibration should be carried out by external agency
