Description

1.0    PURPOSE:

1.1    To lay down the procedure for maintenance of equipment logbook.

2.0    SCOPE:

2.1    This procedure is applicable for Quality Control Department.

3.0    RESPONSIBILITY:

3.1    Junior Assistant/Senior Assistant – QC 
3.2    Executive - QC

4.0    ACCOUNTABILITY:

4.1    Manager – QC 
4.2    Asst. Manager – QC 
4.3    Executive – QC

5.0    PROCEDURE:

5.1    An equipment log is to be maintained each and every instrument used in the Quality Control department as per Format No. xxxxx.
5.2    Whenever the particular equipment used for the analysis, details of the sample analysed should be entered information like description of the sample, Batch number / A.R.No., test, time and signature of the user.
5.3    Breakdown information should be entered into the equipment logbook.
5.4    Performance verification or calibration of the equipment shall be entered into the logbook.
5.5    Entries of the instrument activity or utilization should be online.
5.8    Whenever new equipment logbook is required completed or filled equipment logbook should be handed over and then only new book shall be issued.
5.9    Numbering for the equipment shall be followed as mentioned in the Sop no. 
xxxxx
5.6    Equipment logbooks should be kept at racks of the respective equipment.
