1.0 PURPOSE :
To describe a standard operating procedure for the operation and maintenance of Air conditioning system.
2.0 SCOPE:
The standard operating procedure describes in detail the method for the operation and maintenance of Air conditioning system.
3.0 RESPONSIBILITY:
The responsibility for the operation and maintenance of Air conditioning system lies with the staff of rank not lower than Jr. Utility Operator of maintenance department.
The responsibility of preparing, reviewing and approving the standard operating procedure lies with the Manager - Maintenance, Head of Production and Head of QAD respectively.
4.0 METHOD:
4.1 Start the Blowers of the Air supply system and Air exhaust system.
4.2 Start condenser fans of Air conditioning system.
4.3 Start compressors of the Air Conditioning system.
4.4 Record the readings of compressor as per the Format No: xxxxx as shown in Annexure-I.
4.5 Record the Readings for every 4 hours.
4.6 Whenever the complaint received from the production department that the required temperature is not within the limits, check the system and adjust the set points.
4.7 If the problem is not rectified, call the outside service agency for attending the same.
4.8 The complaints from the production department, rectifications and outside service agency services shall be recorded in Annexure - II.
5.0 RECORDING:
The responsibility of recording the details in the Annexure-I of operation and maintenance of air conditioning system lies with the staff of rank not lower than the Junior utility operator of maintenance department.
The responsibility of recording the details in the Annexure-II lies with the staff of rank not lower than the Supervisor of the maintenance department.
