1.1 To lay down the procedure for cleaning of sampling devices.
2.0 SCOPE:
2.1 This SOP is applicable for cleaning of sampling devices in Quality control department.

5.0 PROCEDURE:
5.1Used sampling devices such as liquid sampler, thief sampler, scoops, spatulas shall be kept in washing area.
5.2Liquid samplers used for sampling Acids shall be slowly washed with plenty of tap water and followed by purified water.
5.3Liquid samplers used for sampling liquid Raw Material shall be washed with plenty of tap water and followed by purified water. If the sampled material is not soluble in water, the sampler is washed with the suitable solvent and followed by purified water.
5.4Thief sampler / scoops shall be washed with plenty of tap water and followed by purified water. If the sampled material is not soluble in water, the sampler is washed with the suitable solvent, tap water and followed by purified water.
5.5All the sampling devices shall be finally washed with Methanol/Acetone.
5.6Washed sampling devices shall be air-dried.
5.7Dried sampling devices shall be preserved in polythene bags and shall be preserved in designated places.
