Operation Of Sieve Shaker (Retsch)

1.0    PURPOSE:

1.1    To lay down the procedure for operation of sieve shaker (Retsch).

2.0    SCOPE:

2.1    This SOP is applicable for sieve shaker in Quality Control Department.

3.0    RESPONSIBILITY:

3.1    Assistant  – QC 

4.0    ACCOUNTABILITY:

4.1    Executive – QC 

5.0    PROCEDURE:

5.1    Connect the instrument to 230 volts A/C power supply.
5.2    Turn the main switch on, located at left-front side of the instrument.
5.3    A led light glows on the interval OFF and two bars of light glows on the time mode.
5.4    Set the required vibration height by using rotating knob. 
5.5    The Vibration height displays on the front of the sieve plate.
5.6    If it is necessary start the intervals press the “= =”. Button.
5.7    Set the required time by using “ -, +” keys.
5.8    Analyze the particle size of the sample by setting sieve sequence on the sieve plate.
5.9    Press START icon, Start the analysis.
5.10    After completion of the set time the instrument automatically stopped.  

5.11    Enter the data into a sieve shaker logbook.
5.12    Remove the sieve meshes and clean it.
