I. PURPOSE :
To have a written procedure for the usage of reverse laminar flow unit.
II. SCOPE:
This procedure is applicable for the Micro-Kleanz make reverse laminar flow unit used in the Quality Control department.
III. RESPONSIBILITY:
It is the responsibility of Executive Quality Control to follow this SOP.

V . PROCEDURE:
Operating procedure
1. Reverse laminar air flow unit works with theprinciple of reverse laminar flow, which is helpful to control the material exposure .
2. Before starting the work on reverse laminar flow ,switch on blow and observe pressure obtaining from magnahelic gauge.
3. The pressure when the instrument is in operating condition should be between 5 to 15 PSIG.
4. For any composite sample preparation of raw materials, intermediates and finished product,should be Operate under the air flow only.
5. Spread filter paper on the bench of reverse laminar flow while handling the material.
6. Discard the exess materils and the filterpaper in the specified containers.
7. After completion of the work, switch of the air blow and clean the surfaces using the mop wetted in methanol/water
Maintenance:
1. Clean the pre filters using water and air monthly once or when ever the pressure is fallen below 5 mm of water
2. Replace the HEPA filters for every three years
