1.0 PURPOSE:
To describe a standard operating procedure (SOP) for cleaning of storage HDPE drums of intermediate and finished products.
2.0 SCOPE:
The SOP describes in detail the method of cleaning of storage HDPE drums of intermediate and finished products.
3.0 RESPONSIBILITY:
The responsibility of cleaning of storage HDPE drums of intermediate and finished products lies with the staff of rank not lower than operator of production department.
The responsibility of preparing, reviewing and approving the SOP lies with the Executive (Production), Head of Production and Head of QAD respectively.
4.0 METHOD:
4.1 Open the top cover.
4.2 Clean inner surface, outer surface and top cover with muslin cloth.
4.3 Clean inner surface, outer surface and top cover with muslin cloth dipped in suitable solvent and squeeze, allow to dry.
4.4 Close the top cover.
