Description

1.0    PURPOSE:
        
    To describe a  standard operating procedure (SOP) for the cleaning of scoops, samplers, funnels and containers.
    
2.0    SCOPE:
    
    The SOP describes in detail the method of cleaning of scoops, samplers, funnels and containers used in manufacturing.
    
3.0    RESPONSIBILITY:
    
    The  responsibility  of cleaning of scoops,  samplers,  funnels  and containers used in manufacturing as per the SOP lies with the staff of the rank not lower than operator of the production department.
    
    The responsibility of preparing, reviewing and approving the SOP lies with the Executive (Production), Head of Production and Head of QAD  respectively.
    
4.0    METHOD:
    
4.1    Take used scoops, samplers, funnels  and containers clean  with  10 L. DM water. 
    
4.2    Clean with 2 L. of related solvent which is used in the process of product and send for recovery.
    
4.3    Clean with 10 L. DM water and followed by 2 L. methanol.
    
4.4    Keep them in HDPE carbuoy containing polythene cover after dry.
    
4.5    Frequency: Cleaning shall be done after usage.
    
5.0    RECORDING:
    
    The  cleaning operation of scoops, samplers, funnels  and  containers  shall  be recorded by operator/supervisor  in  cleaning  register as shown in annexure-I.
