1.0 PURPOSE:
To describe standard operating procedure for installing the fluid bed dryer.
2.0 SCOPE:
The standard operating procedure describes in detail the method of installing the fluid bed dryer.
3.0 RESPONSIBILITY:
The responsibility of installing the fluid bed dryer lies with the staff of rank not lower than the maintenance engineer of maintenance department.
The responsibility of preparing, reviewing and approving the standard operating procedure lies with the Manager - Maintenance, Head of Production and Head of QAD respectively.
4.0 METHOD:
4.1 Bring the fluid bed dryer to the place of installation.
4.2 Keep the fluid bed dryer in the position and give steam connection to the steam inlet.
4.3 Connect the steam trap to the steam condensate line.
4.4 Give the air connection to the air point.
4.5 Give the electrical connection to the motor.
4.6 Give earthing to the retarding chamber and product container with spring loaded earthing arrangement provided on the frame. Also give earthing to the dryer body and the motor.
5.0 RECORDING:
The responsibility of recording the installation details in the history card lies with staff of rank not lower than the maintenance engineer.
