1.0 PURPOSE
1.1 To lay down the procedure for Operation of CAMAG UV cabinet.
2.0 SCOPE
2.1 This procedure is applicable for the operation of CAMAG UV cabinet with identification nos. XXXXX & XXXXX in in-process quality control labs of Module I and II.

5.0 PROCEDURE
5.1 Connect the equipment to 230 volts A/C power supply.
5.2 Ensure that the equipment is clean and free from dust.
5.3 Switch on the equipment.
5.4 Open the cabinet and place the TLC plate inside it and close the cabinet.
5.5 Two switches are provided on top left corner of the instrument.
5.5.1 Switch 1 – For UV light at long wavelength (365 nm), press right side.
5.5.2 Switch 2 – For UV light at short wavelength (254 nm), press left side.
5.6 Select and switch on the required UV light.
5.7 Observe the TLC plate for visualization spot through view glass and enter the data in logbook as per Annexure-I (as per QASOP format no. XXXXX-current version).
5.8 Switch off the UV light by pressing off key of equipment/cabinet after completion of usage.
? Do not stare the UV rays for long time.
