Pharmacokinetics

Actions

It is a non-steroidal anti inflammatory agent. They act by blocking the synthesis of prostaglandins by inhibiting cyclooxygenase; cyclooxygenase converts arachidonic acid to cyclic endoperoxides, it is the precursors of prostaglandins. Prostaglandin synthesis inhibition accounts for their antipyretic, analgesic, and platelet-inhibitory actions; other mechanisms may contribute to their anti-inflammatory effects.
