It is a cytoprotective agent and an organic thiophosphate indicates to reduce the renal toxicity associated with the administration of cisplatin repeatedly in patients with non-small cell lung cancer or advanced ovarian cancer and also used to reduce the incidence of acute to severe xerostomia in patients undergoing post-operative radiation treatment for head and neck cancer.

Adult- initially 910 mg/m² BSA once daily, as an infusion given over 15 minutes, 30 mins beofre start of chemotherapy.
Cytoprotective agent in chemotherapy. Preventaion of Xerostomia.
Nausea, hypotension during infusion, vomiting, flushing, feeling of warmth, chills, dizziness, sneezing, cough and drowsiness, mild skin rashes.
Caution when used during lactation and pregnancy.
Store at 20-25°C.
