Dosage/Dosage form

Apply a thin film of Halobetasol topical onto the affected area once or twice a day.

Therapeutic uses

Prescribed for the treatment of inflammation and itching due to psoriasis, allergic reactions and eczema.

Contraindications

Halobetasol topical is contraindicated in patients with Halobetasol allergy and in patients with skin infections, diabetes and other forms of hyperglycemia.

Precautions

  • Caution should be exercised in patients with history of tuberculosis, measles, recent vaccination, chickenpox, or shingles, scrapes, skin infection, cuts, or decreased blood flow to the skin, any allergy, who are taking other medications, during pregnancy and breastfeeding. 
  • Avoid using in genital area, face, groin, and under the armpits. 
  • Wash your hands thoroughly after applying this cream. 
  • Avoid contact with eyes, mouth and nose. For external use only;
  • It should not be used in children younger than 12 years old.
