Dosage/Dosage form

Hylan G-F 20 should be administered only as Intra-articular injection, once a week. A week apart, the injection dose, should not exceed a total of three injections.

Therapeutic uses

Prescribed for pain in osteoarthritis (OA) of the knee, this medication is a visco supplement.

Adverse effects/Side effects

Respiratory difficulties, rash, itching, hives, fever, headache, nausea, dizziness, muscle cramps, chills, hives, uneasiness, peripheral edema, flushing and facial swelling.

Contraindicated in patients with an infection due to previous administration of this medication and hypersensitivity.

Precautions
