Therapeutic uses

For the treatment of hypertension and as adjunct therapy in the treatment of congestive heart failure.

Nausea, vomiting, headache.

Interaction

This drug may interact with lithium, potassium supplements, potassium-sparing diuretics, other diuretics, tetracycline, COX-2 inhibitors and gold salts.

Contraindications

Quinapril hydrochloride is contraindicated in patients with serious anaphylactoid reactions, head and neck angioedema, intestinal angioedema, desensitization-related and membrane exposure associated anaphylactoid reactions, hypotension, hepatic failure and neutropenia or agranulocytosis.
