Hepatic metabolism.
Ranolazine has antianginal and anti-ischemic effects that do not depend upon reductions in heart rate or blood pressure.
Initial dose of 500 mg twice daily. The dosage can be increased to 1000 mg twice daily, if needed.
For the treatment of chronic angina. It should be used in combination with amlodipine, beta-blockers or nitrates.
Dizziness, nausea, weakness, constipation and headache. Abdominal pain, dry mouth and vomiting.
Contraindicated in patients who are taking certain azole antifungals, liver impairment and hypersensitivity.
Store at 20-25°C.
