Rivaroxaban is an anticoagulant which binds directly to factor Xa. Thereafter, it effectively blocks the amplification of the coagulation cascade, preventing the formation of thrombus.
The recommended dose is 10 mg taken orally once daily with or without food.
Rivaroxaban is indicated for the prevention of
Hypersensitivity, anaphylactic reaction and anaphylactic shock, bone marrow suppression, liver inflammation.
Contraindicated in patients with genetic spinal defect, spinal surgery, hemorrhagic stroke, active bleeding, GI bleeding, uncontrolled BP and bleeding disorders.
