Description

1.0    PURPOSE:

1.1    To lay down the procedure for Preventive maintenance of Stability chambers.

2.0    SCOPE:

2.1    This procedure is applicable to Quality Control for stability study only.

3.0    RESPONSIBILITY:

3.1    Asst.Manager – Instrumentation – To perform the preventive maintenance activity.

4.0    ACCOUNTABILITY:

4.1    Head - Quality Control-Stability – To ensure compliance against established schedule.
    
5.0    PROCEDURE FOR STABILITY CHAMBERS WALKIN TYPE AND OVENS:

5.1    General instructions:
5.2    Switch of the power supply if required during preventive maintenance.
5.3    The following components of the stability chamber shll be subjected for preventive maintenance on the schedule date.

5.3.1    Clean the tips of all sensors with smooth polished cloth.

5.3.2    Check the tube lights, replace in case of low illumination or flickering.

5.3.3    Standby cooling system shall be checked to ensure that is working properly without any discrepancies.

5.3.4    Check the cut-off action of the safety controller for temperature by increasing or decreasing the set value.

5.3.5    Check the cut-off action of the safety controller for humidity by increasing or decreasing the humidity.

5.3.6    Low water level safety cut off shall be checked.

5.3.7    Time delay of the compressor shall be checked and it can be replaced in any malfunctions occurred.

5.3.8    Check the condenser fan motor, motor capacitor.

5.3.9    Condenser motor capacitor shall be checked and replace in case of low charge of capacitor.

5.3.10    Clean the heaters compartment.

5.3.11    Clean the feed water tank.

5.3.12    Check the float valve action, replace float valve if necessary.

5.3.13    Switch off the working humidity system and then switch on standby humidity system for proper function.

5.3.14    Check the body heater, replace in case of damages found.

5.3.15    Enter observations in the preventive maintenance checklist            (Format No:xxxxx

5.3.16    Stick the preventive maintenance status label.

5.3.17    Frequency of schedule is every 3 months.
